We’re designing vehicles that take a risk to integrate verge technology so we can have more of an impact, so we can reach you with accessible aviation. That means our concept vehicle is designed to go 180MPH+, be vertical take off and landing, and powered on a fuel we can generate anywhere there is water vapor.
We’d like to present our aircraft as a blank slate. What do you think would benefit from faster, more sustainable transportation of people goods and services? Unfortunately sovereign governments want to see the data. So the first few beta models will be optimized for medical delivery, search and rescue, and aid/emergency missions.
Project Wind Craft is not just about aircraft. We’re asking how we can design the infrastructure around the aircraft to protect our environment and empower the people who live in it. We all know the battery in your Tesla is a chemical battery, now think of a molecular battery that harnesses the electrostatic bonds between atoms to create electricity. With the right chemistry Wind Craft One can be powered for hundreds of miles on only a few pounds of fuel. Paired with recent advances in renewable energy and our partner organizations’ fuel cells, we can install and operate miniature renewable power stations in villages that can combine elements in the air to create the fuel for our aircraft at a fraction of the cost. All while providing electrical infrastructure in a decentralized way that can power entire countries without running a single wire outside of each village.
We’re paving the way for future generations of aviators to reap the reward of our initiative. We’re willing to take the risk to create more reliable and advanced flying machines and to do so we need to take full advantage of every new piece of technology available to prove this platform is a viable and effective alternative to traditional aircraft. How can we close the gap between the human and the machine to make flying more intuitive? Wind Craft One is designed with triple redundancy in everything from the power system to the control surfaces. We can lose any 3 points of thrust and maintain level vertical flight. Wind Craft One will be developed for full autonomy and remote piloting.
